Tester (QC) for Embedded Systems - Cluj-Napoca
We are looking for a Tester with hardware/embedded related background who can do functional tests on our meters as a QC output team before transferring out of Research and Development. We're looking for someone who is passionate about quality and excited about finding creative ways to address difficult testing problems. You are interested in the creation process and bringing your ideas and skills to help us make great products.
Requirements
- Experience developing and executing tests of embedded software
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering
- Knowledge of embedded systems
- Proficient user of Jira and Confluence tools
- Ideal: hands-on experience in lab equipment and analytical instruments for measurement and debugging issues
- Excellent analytical and technical skills with attention to details
- Capability of working with multiple projects
- High degree of flexibility and efficiency in working with different teams and people with a varied set of skills
Responsibilities
- Develop test plans and test cases and execute tests during different phases of the product to ensure functionality and performance as per the system requirements
- Assure that embedded product software performs properly and any bugs introduced during development are solved before being transferred to production
- Work closely with the embedded developers and Chemical department to determine testing priorities and understand common product usage
- Automate the testing process as possible, (functional regressing tests, test scripts/applications), in order to optimize testing efficiency
- Identify, report and handle defects in an easy to track system, prepare the test report documentation
- Work closely with multi-functional team leads and team members to understand requirements
- Communicating results to team leaders and internal customers
